May 13, 2010: Jim's at it again. It seems that the more we 'remove', the better things get. After removing those $2500 Ultra-Lightweight wheels and replacing them with stockers, the car made easy passes of 11.84 and 11.88 on only it's second time out for the season AND on a non-prepped track! Now, Jim decided to take away the race gas and make his passes on his street tune and straight from the pump 93 Octane. Not 94 or 95 like SOME claim to call pump. Now, with his 9sec9 street tune, 93 octane, a Perrin air filter, stock tires/wheels, stock exhaust, stock turbo, and an MBC, the car ran 12.30 @ 109+ . The car easily has more still in it, but the desire to move to E85 is too great. Soon, look for Jim running his street tune on E85 and new injectors. This could get interesting for sure. I predict that the magical 11.50 is in the cards soon.
April 13, 2010: Jim Kitasaki took his 2006 RS to ORP/IRP and does some early season testing on stock type tires and stock wheels. Just wanting to get the feel of the track again, Jim left the car in street trim with only a tune change and race fuel. No slicks, drag radials or lightweight wheels. The result: 11.97 and 11.94 @ 113.59 with a 1.69 60'. It appears as though Jim hasn't lost his knack for 'moving the lever'. Congrats Jim for a great start to the 2010 season. Watch for this nearly stock RS to come very close to the magical 11.49 'Kicked out' ET.
Tony Powell, OKIX on most forums, sets the mark to be beaten on the Forced Performance-BLACK Turbo. During qualifying rounds of the IFO Pro Forced Induction Class, Tony smoothly and easily piloted the Wilson Manifolds/Forced Performance Evo IX to a record 9.53@ 148.43MPH. This was just after setting the MPH Record for this new turbo at 149.58. FULL CAGE, NHRA REQUIRED equipment and NHRA certified.
IndyEvo (our own Jim Kitasaki) does it AGAIN! Those Hoosier's keep yielding quicker ET's with higher MPH's. At ORP, Jim twice broke his ET record of 11.72 with a new 11.69 and 11.66 ET. He also broke his best ever mph TWICE with runs of 116.62 and 116.79. Those runs beat his previous best mph of 116.58 which was achieved at Muncy, Indiana. Guess those runs put to rest any question of whether the Hoosier tires are working. Only an idiot thinks that a tires' COMPLETE benefit is found in the 60' time.
Also, during recent testing of the new Hoosiers, a 700+ whp Evo found out how much these tires bite. Let's just say, they didn't exactly 'spin' as expected. In fact, they bit so hard the car bogged on launch. Not indicative of a tire that doesn't work. THEY WORK BEYOND EXPECTATIONS, but more to come in the near future.
Oct 4, 2009: Chris Williams (CWill) with ASAP Performance took his brand new engine and Evo VIII to an incredible 1.39 60' and a 2nd place finish at the NSCRA event at PBIR. On it's very first outing on the ASAP Performance Engine, the Evo ran multiple 9.40's and had multiple 1.40 60' with a best of 1.39 on the QTP Hoosier tires. Look for more out of this South Florida shop. They seem to have the talent and the car to get the job done! Congratulations Chris on a job well done.
Subaru owners "DISCOVER" the new Hoosier Drag Radials and can't be happier! Word is that even 450 whp has a hard time making them spin. Like THEY said, "These tires are the real deal." Only 2 sets left as of Oct 4th. Don't miss out on the special pricing. Scratch the 2 "2 SETS LEFT", They're SOLD OUT! 3rd and final run has been ordered, but no delivery date yet.
Sept 29, 2009: Holy Mackerel! Jim does it AGAIN! 11.72@114.56 with all of the SAME parts. We're closing in on our 11.5 goal, but STILL without adding any more parts. There's got to be a limit to what the stock exhaust system will flow, or at least we thought.
Sept 19, 2009: Dyno testing! We spent the afternoon tuning and dynoing the Wilson Manifolds/9se9 Evo IX. Let's just say, we weren't dissappointed with our results. BIG data to be released soon.
Sept 10, 2009: IndyEvo, jim@9sec9.com, does it again. Tonight at Indianapolis Raceway Park, Jim took his stock Evo IX RS to an incredible 11.83 @ 114.86 mph. He also had a 115.34 mph on a bogged run. Great job Jim. Looks like the 11.50 goal is clearly in sight. Update: Sept 22, Jim once again backs up his previous 11.8 with another 11.86 with a density altitude of 2400+. Nice job Jim. Did I also say that we're simultaneously doing some R&D testing too? Watch for new products in the near future.

August 2009, IndyEvo's 2006 Evo IX RS goes 11.96 @ 113.64 with a best mph of 116.58mph. MBC, Air Filter and 9sec9 tune!
March 2009, Ennis, Tx. The Wilson Manifolds Evo IX once again proved it's power when on a tuning run during TnT, the car went 133.70 mph at only a peak boost of 32 psi. This pass was made using the 'old' Forced Performance Green turbo. This very same turbo was dyno'd on this same car and it showed maximum power at 38.3 psi. Obviously, the engine had a lot more to give, but the 32 psi was for testing a dual actuator setup, not a record mph run. In fact, we didn't realize that it had set the mph record until a month later. Imagine what would have happened if the boost had been turned up to it's proven maximum!
October 2008, Wilson Manifolds 2006 Evo IX RS breaks multiple records when it set the Worlds Quickest and Fastest times on the Forced Performance RED turbo. First, at Dragway 42, the powerful Evo IX went 145.16 mph when racing against a twin turbo Mustang. Then, just a few days later at Summit Raceway Park in Norwalk, Ohio, the 2850 lb Evo made a World Record Run of 9.57 @ 143 mph. Not resting on these Friday night accomplishments, the car was outfitted with a 35 series turbo and on the following Monday on only it's second pass, it went 9.20@ 157.6 mph. On it's next pass, the lower intercooler pipe came off, but not before recording an 1/8th mile time of 5.88 @ 124.4 mph.
August 2007, The Wilson Manifolds Evo IX breaks all Evo Stock Appearing Records at the Buschur Racing DSM/EVO Shootout! First, on the Mustang Dyno, the car hit boost cut and still made over 560 whp while winning the Dyno Competition for ESA. Then, during the next days drag competion at Summit Raceway Park, the car easily set ESA records in both ET and MPH, again while winning the 2007 Evo Stock Appearing Class. Once again, these records were using the FP-RED Turbo from Forced Performance.
The Wilson Manifolds Evo IX is STILL the Fastest Mivec Evo IX in the world with a recorded MPH of 157.90 mph. Unmatched performance, copied by others. We don't wait for the barometric pressure to be 600 FEET BELOW SEA LEVEL before we dyno, then hide that fact from the community. We don't wait for the track to be in the most perfect condition, (right behind fuel car testing with maximum grip and rubber laid down) before we go to our LOCAL track. We take what comes, wherever we happen to be. Louisianna, Texas, Ohio, Oklahoma, doesn't matter to us. We travel and take what happens to come our way. High humidity, high temperatures, against the wind, higher altitude. We don't pick and chose. For those in the know, you know how to check corrected numbers. Corrected numbers, performance to weight ratio, weather conditions....they all play a part in making true, real every day power. At 9sec9.com, no hype to sell you a part.
The original, only found here at 9sec9.com. Front Carbon Fiber Shutters, Forward Facing Airbox, Side Mirror Delete Plate, Dual Pass Radiator with dry breaks, Diff Eliminator Spool for the rear diff, Wilson V2.3+ and now the Wilson Billet Intake Manifold. Those and more were brought to you by the innovations on the OKIX car! Accept nothing but the original. We understand the reasons for doing it, not just copying it and getting it close enough.
The IndyEvo 2006 Evo IX RS is proving that common myths can be 'corrected' by performance. 11.9s one a pure stock Evo with just an MBC and airfilter for engine mods. No aftermarket exhaust , aftermaket intercooler or intercooler pipes. No Intake system or ported exhaust and intake. Stock Throttlebody, stock injectors, ignition and the stock list goes on and on. 11.9s and 116.58 MPH. Next, we add a few parts and take the car to our 11.5 goal. Watch for the results coming to a forum near you!
